Disney+ is an OTT streaming service launched by film and entertainment giant Walt Disney, aiming to rival streaming media such as Netflix and Amazon.
In its first year, Disney + plans to feature 7,500 existing TV episodes, 25 original series, 10 original movies and specials, as well as 400 older films and 100 new theatrical releases in recent years.
Disney+ divides its content library into five sections: Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars series and National Geographic.
The Disney section is the Disney Vault collection. From the first colorful movie "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", to the post-war "Lady and the Tramp" (Lady and the Tramp), "Dumbo", "Bambi", as well as "The Lion King", "Beauty and the Beast" and "Mulan" and other contemporary masterpieces, as well as the popular "Frozen" and "Animal City" in recent years, all by Disney+ a net.
Many well-known titles produced and owned by Disney are also available on Disney+, including Avatar, The Simpsons, the complete Pirates of the Caribbean, and more.
The online streaming media platform Disney+will be built around the film and TV content of Disney's major entertainment industry companies, including Walt Disney Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Studios and Lucas Pictures. The platform will be operated together with Hulu. After the acquisition of 21st Century Fox, Disney holds 60% of Hulu's shares. Robert Igel, Disney's chief operating officer, said Disney+will focus on family oriented entertainment, while Hulu will continue to focus on "mass" entertainment. The platform is expected to provide about 7000 TV dramas and 500 movies. The films produced by Walt Disney Studios Group will be shown on the platform, including Disney and Pixar animated film series, Marvel movie universe films, etc.
